Why advertise with the White Pine Press?
Our circulation is 3,000 issues printed every two weeks and distributed on every campus of Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) and to a variety of businesses, restaurants, cafes, and organizations in downtown Traverse City, Michigan.
During the academic year, we reach the NMC community which includes over 5,000 students, along with faculty and staff - not to mention our readers in Traverse City.
In 2009, the White Pine Press won first place in design from the Michigan Community College Press Association. Our designers are consistently recognized for design excellence from the MCCPA.
The White Pine Press has at its disposal Adobe's Creative Suite 5 on brand new 2010 iMacs. Our designers are enrolled in NMC's graphic arts program. Graduates from this program are regularly admitted to a variety of competitve degree programs such as Kendall College of Art and Design, the University of Michigan, and Michigan State University.
Competitive Rates
$12/column inch for local businesses, non-profits, and organizations (we define local as Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau and Wexford counties).
$40 one-time fee to create a customized advertisement to meet your marketing and promotional needs (note: see our special offers to receive free design consultation and creation).

Starting in January 2011, the White Pine Press will offer the following special offers:
- A 5% discount for a semester long contract (7 issues running January 27 through April 21, 2011).
- Free design consultation and creation with every semester long contract (7 issues running January 27 through April 21, 2011).
- Free on-line advertising for a 3-issue (or longer) contract. If you run an advertisement in our newspaper for 3 or more issues, we will provide free advertising space on our website for you.
